OUR STORY

The X-Men of Boston is a non-profit organization working towards empowering youth in and around the Boston community. We support young men and women pursuing higher education by providing financial and technology scholarships. In 2019, we had 20 scholarship recipients.
Our organization has grown over fifteen years of community activism that began as an annual Father’s Day barbecue
at the Malcolm X Park in Roxbury (hence our name). Each year our group of men gather to give technological and financial scholarships to young students identified through our various community networks. As we’ve grown our contributions have developed from gift cards
to laptops.
In addition to distributing scholarships, the X-Men continued with our annual award to a Boston resident for their outstanding commitment and service to the community. Last year’s recipient, Tony Rich, from No Books and No Balls, was honored with the X-Men’s second Outstanding Community Service award.
Scholarships are distribute annually on Father’s Day at Malcolm X Park in Roxbury. Scholarship recipients must
be present to receive award.
